Tony Maserati is a legendary American mixing engineer and producer, widely regarded for shaping the distinctive New York hip-hop and R&B sound. Maserati’s rise to prominence came after going independent in 1989, marking the beginning of a prolific career that would span multiple decades.

Maserati originally studied composition at Berklee School of Music in the early 1980s but switched his major to Music Production and Engineering when the program was first introduced in 1983. His time at Berklee solidified his technical knowledge and passion for the recording process, setting the stage for his future success.

Over the course of his career, Maserati has been nominated for 10 Grammy Awards and won one for his work on Sérgio Mendes's "Timeless" in 2006.
