Leslie Brathwaite is a celebrated Grammy Award-winning mix engineer hailing from the U.S. Virgin Islands. Known for his dynamic and versatile sound, Brathwaite's career has spanned genres, from R&B and hip-hop to pop and rock, with an impressive roster of influential artists.

Brathwaite’s musical journey began in his teenage years, growing up in the vibrant Caribbean music scene. Inspired by the sounds around him, he set up a small studio in his bedroom with a multitrack recorder, honing his skills and passion for audio engineering. Wanting to further develop his craft, Brathwaite moved to Florida to attend Full Sail University, where he graduated in 1992 from their Recording Arts program.

After graduating, Brathwaite made his way to Atlanta, where the city's blossoming music scene was being fueled by renowned producers such as Dallas Austin, Jermaine Dupri, Babyface, and L.A. Reid. He began working as an assistant engineer for Dallas Austin at DARP Studios, where he quickly gained valuable experience and worked on albums by major artists like Boyz II Men and Outkast.
