Dan Parry

Dan Parry is a highly skilled British mix and recording engineer whose career has seen him work on some of the most iconic albums of the 21st century. With a career that began in 2001 at Soul II Soul Studios in Camden Town, Parry quickly made a name for himself in the world of engineering and music production. His talents led him to Metropolis Studios in 2004, where he continued to refine his craft.

At Metropolis, Parry worked his way up the ranks, ultimately becoming assistant engineer to Tom Elmhirst, one of the top mix engineers in the industry. This period marked a pivotal moment in Parry's career, as he spent five years assisting on major projects with high-profile artists like Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Mark Ronson. Parry’s expertise in both mixing and tracking allowed him to contribute to projects that would shape the sound of the era.

One of the significant milestones in Parry’s career came in 2010 when he worked on Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster LP. Parry was credited as "Engineer, Tracking" on a few tracks, and his contribution played a key role in the album's Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. While the album did not win the category, this recognition was an early sign of the high level of work Parry was capable of.

Parry's involvement in the Adele album 21 further cemented his reputation. He assisted Elmhirst on the mixing of four tracks, earning the credit “Assisted by.” Additionally, Parry contributed to the vocal recording on one of those tracks, earning the credit “Additional Vocals Recorded by.” 21 would go on to win Album of the Year at the 54th Grammy Awards, and Parry's contributions to the album were part of the winning team.
